West Michigan Beach Volleyball started in 2014 with a backyard clinic for 20 athletes. In 2019 we had over 150 clinic participants. In 2021, WMBVB is again partnering with the Friends of Grand Haven State Park to offer TWO, one-day beach volleyball skills clinics for athletes entering grades 3-12 at beautiful Grand Haven State Park. Younger participants will be learning the fundamentals, and participating in fun contests and games. Older participants will be practicing skills, working on strategy, and learning beach-specific techniques.
Over the years, we’ve offered 1-4 day clinics, ranging in price from $40-$120. In 2019, the Friends of Grand Haven State Park provided the funds to offer our clinics for free, and have graciously agreed to do so again this year, covering insurance and coaching fees. In an effort to continue to grow the game, we’re asking for a $10 non-refundable donation to our scholarship program to reserve a spot. SPACE IS LIMITED to the first 60 registrants per event.
