West Michigan Beach Volleyball started in 2014 with a backyard clinic for 20 athletes. In 2023 we had over 150 clinic participants. In 2024, WMBVB is again partnering with the Friends of Grand Haven State Park to offer TWO, one-day beach volleyball skills clinics for athletes entering grades 3-12 at beautiful Grand Haven State Park.

We've found that two hours can be a lot for younger participants, so athletes entering grades 3-5 will have a 90 minute session, learning the fundamentals, and participating in fun contests and games, finishing up at 11:30.
Older participants will be practicing skills, working on strategy, and learning beach-specific techniques.  Participants entering grades 6-12 will be done at 12:00. 

The last few years, the Friends of Grand Haven State Park provided the funding to keep our clinic fees low, and have graciously agreed to do so again this year, covering insurance and coaching expenses.  In an effort to continue to grow the game, we’re asking for a $20 non-refundable donation to our scholarship program to reserve a spot.  SPACE IS LIMITED to the first 80 registrants per event.
