General Information: 

• Time: Saturday, January 25, 2025.  This year’s event will coincide with the Bonfire Bash.  Beer will be available for purchase from 3-10 pm.

• Location: Harborfront parking lot across from Kirby Grill in downtown Grand Haven.  2 Washington Ave, Grand Haven, MI 49417

• Cost: $40 per team

• Coed Teams (2 or more females) 4 on 4 (subs allowed) 

Adult B Division - Teams with limited volleyball experience looking to have fun.

Adult A division - Competitive teams with experience who are in it to win it.

The nets and poles are temporary. For everyone's safety, please encourage your team to avoid contact with the net.

• The courts are smaller than regulation by a few feet each way and are relatively close to each other.  There will be no way to prevent balls from coming on your court, so replay any point affected, and do your best to prevent your ball from going on a neighboring court.

• Prizes for top finishers and best team spirit. Costumes encouraged.

Tournament Format:

Each match will be 25 points, or 15 minutes, whichever comes first.

Pool play followed by playoffs. **Not all teams will advance to playoffs.

Officials will not be provided, so please call out the score before every serve, and quickly resolve any rule disputes with a replay or rock-paper-scissors.

Snow Volleyball Rules

• For safety - no metal spikes, cleats, or other such footwear permitted

• No contact with the net

• Rally scoring - point per serve

• Switch sides every 10 points

• Cannot pursue ball onto the neighboring court

• No tipping, but you may receive serve with “finger action” like indoors

• Hand-setting rules loosened significantly

• There is no front row or back row in 4 on 4.  Everyone may hit.  

• You may play the same position the whole time, just determine and stay in a service order.
